Seenons acquires Recycling Consultants Nederland (RCN)
6 August 2025, Amsterdam – Seenons, the platform for circular waste management, announces the acquisition of Recycling Consultants Nederland (RCN). The acquisition marks an important step in Seenons’ mission: a world without waste. Supported by a previous investment from majority shareholder Fortino Capital, Seenons is working towards a European roll-out, with this Dutch acquisition strengthening its home market position and increasing its growth potential.
Strengthening advisory capabilities and sector focus
Recycling Consultants Nederland (RCN) is the waste advisory firm for medium to large enterprises in the Netherlands. For nearly 20 years, RCN has supported companies with independent advice, mediation, and guidance on waste and material management. Operating entirely independently, without its own processing or collection interests, RCN focuses solely on what is best for its clients. This independent approach aligns seamlessly with Seenons’ vision, as the platform is also with processors or collectors. RCN is a proven partner for sustainable savings in the food, retail, and logistics sectors. Its in-depth market knowledge and pragmatic approach are a valuable addition to the digital strength of the Seenons platform.
From family business to strategic partner
RCN was founded by Koes de Quillettes and, together with daughter Kirsten and son Robbert, grew into a close-knit family business. Together they built a loyal and knowledgeable team, which will fully transition to Seenons. This ensures that trusted services will be maintained, now supported by scale and technology.
“After 19 years of independently serving the market with our straightforward approach, expertise, and independent advice, we are now joining forces with Seenons to meet the market’s needs in the digital domain as well,” says Kirsten de Quillettes. “This makes the RCN–Seenons combination complementary and strong.”
Reviving past collaboration
Seenons and RCN have previously worked together, including in a Dutch–Belgian initiative serving clients in both countries. With this renewed collaboration, both parties can combine their expertise to support clients in the Netherlands and Flanders even more directly and effectively.
Future-proof waste management
The acquisition comes at a time when business waste management is becoming increasingly international and digital. Clients are looking for insights, efficiency, and practical solutions. This is a shift in the market that Seenons and RCN are now addressing together to increase their impact. By combining personalised advice with technology, Seenons is taking the next step towards its mission: a world without waste.
Joost Kamermans, CEO of Seenons: “We have always admired RCN’s results-driven approach. Their dedication to clients and deep knowledge of business waste aligns perfectly with our way of working. Together we can create even more impact, starting small and thinking big.”
