Why separate orange peels?
Orange peels are often seen as waste, whilst the peel is actually full of good stuff which can be used again. We often throw away the peel at the very moment it’s at its best. Separating and re-using orange peels not only saves it from being incinerated but reduces the overall amount of waste generated.
What happens to my orange peels
Your orange peel can be used in different ways to create beautiful circular products like liquor, soap and cleaning products. What’s left over can be used for biogas or cattle feed. No waste!
Only oranges, please
Only the peel from the oranges can go in our buckets, other food waste contaminates the stream and makes it difficult to re-use to make new products.
