Why separate orange peels?

Orange peels are often seen as waste, whilst the peel is actually full of good stuff which can be used again. We often throw away the peel at the very moment it’s at its best. Separating and re-using orange peels not only saves it from being incinerated but reduces the overall amount of waste generated.

What happens to my orange peels?

Your orange peels can be used in various ways as a raw material for beautiful circular products. Think of liqueur, soap and cleaning products. It can also be used as a binding agent in foods. The residue of the peels is processed into animal feed or biogas.

Only orange peels, please

Important: only the peel from the oranges can go in our buckets. Other food waste contaminates the stream and makes it difficult to re-use to make new products.
