This name change signifies the full integration of the Belgian company into the Dutch technology firm Seenons, which acquired it a year and a half ago. This step further highlights Seenons’ ambition to establish itself as a leading player in Europe’s circular waste management sector. At the heart of their collaboration is the shared belief that reducing waste and implementing circular solutions are not only essential but also economically viable. With their shared mission to create a world without waste, Seenons and Seenons Belgium are combining forces to better serve key clients such as KU Leuven, Pidpa, FrieslandCampina and AB InBev. Integrated platform brings economies of scale

The name change comes with a complete integration into the Seenons brand identity. Operating as Seenons Belgium, or Seenons BE, the Belgian team enters a new phase. The Seenons platform, which allows businesses to streamline waste management processes, is now being fully deployed to serve Belgian clients.

Five years ago, Stijn Smetsers founded Recycling Partners Belgium (RPB) in response to a critical gap in the waste management industry. As a sales manager at a specialized paper and cardboard processing company, he noticed that many businesses were seeking a comprehensive solution for their waste management needs. However, his employer only offered services for paper and cardboard, often leading to missed opportunities with large companies that required a single point of contact for all their waste streams. Motivated by this challenge, Stijn launched Recycling Partners Belgium to connect large companies with multiple specialized partners, offering them end-to-end support in waste management, cost reduction, waste data management, and sustainability.

While Seenons operates on an international scale, the local expertise of its Belgian team remains a cornerstone of its approach. Under the leadership of Wouter Tack, Seenons Belgium continues to address the specific challenges and opportunities of the Belgian market. Stijn Smetsers, the founder of RPB, now serves as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Seenons and works from Belgium to drive the organization’s commercial growth, focusing on both local impact and international expansion.
