Seenons acquires CP Recycling Management
Nederlandse afvalplatform Seenons breidt uit naar Zwitserland

Amsterdam, February 5, 2025 – The Dutch waste management platform Seenons is expanding into Switzerland with the acquisition of CP Recycling Management. By combining their expertise, Seenons and CP Recycling are creating new opportunities to manage waste streams more efficiently and take circularity in Switzerland to the next level. After successful expansions in Belgium and Denmark, Seenons is now taking another important step in its mission: a world without waste.

Challenges in the Swiss waste market

High costs for recycling and waste processing, the complexity of sorting and recovering high-quality materials, and the limited scalability of circular initiatives in the relatively small yet diverse Swiss market create a growing need for more efficient and scalable solutions.

Additionally, Switzerland relies heavily on exports to other European countries for certain waste streams, such as plastic recycling and hazardous waste processing. This calls for local innovation and collaboration between businesses, waste collectors, processors, and governments to optimize waste management and make it more sustainable.

“To tackle these challenges, we focus on technological innovation, professional data management, and a strong local network of partners. By combining digital solutions with the specialized expertise of CP Recycling, we can help businesses in Switzerland manage their waste streams more efficiently and achieve their circular goals faster.”
Joost Kamermans, co-founder and CEO of Seenons

A family business with a future-oriented vision

CP Recycling Management has grown into a leading player in the Swiss waste market, driven by family values and deep expertise. Founder Christian Piller built the company with a strong focus on transparency and sustainability. Today, his son, Rémi Piller, plays an active role in the company, ensuring the continuity of knowledge, vision, long-term relationships, and trust with customers and partners.

For us, waste management is more than just a service; it is a responsibility. With Seenons by our side, we can support our customers even better. We now have access to innovative technology and a broader network while preserving the DNA of our family business.

More efficient waste management through smart asset use

In addition to strategic advice, CP Recycling Management brings expertise in asset management, including compactors and containers. By optimizing their use, businesses can reduce waste volumes, lower transportation costs, and improve recycling processes. With Seenons’ technology, asset management is further optimized, giving businesses even greater insight into their waste streams and assets.

The right use of compactors and containers not only makes waste management more efficient but also contributes to a more sustainable and circular system.
