Seenons becomes a Certified B Corp®
Seenons Press Release B Corp Certified

Amsterdam, April 15, 2025Seenons, the independent European platform helping organisations make their waste management more sustainable and circular, is proud to share that it is now a certified B Corporation. As a B Corp in the waste industry, Seenons is counted among businesses that are leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. Seenons is verified by B Lab, a non-profit organisation that assesses companies on their social and environmental impact.

Benefit for All

The B in B Corp™, is short for ‘Benefit for All’. The B Corp community is made up of businesses that go beyond profit and actively contribute to the well-being of people, the planet, and society. In order to be eligible for B Corp Certification, companies need to complete the B Impact Assessment, an online assessment free to all companies to actively measure and improve their impact. The assessment spans five key areas: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Only companies that score at least 80 out of a maximum of 200 points are able to become a B Corp. Seenons achieved an impressive score of 107, with particularly strong performance in the area of resource conservation. At the same time, the assessment highlighted opportunities for further improvement, specifically in governance transparency, employee engagement, and community involvement. View the full assessment outcome here. To complete the certification, Seenons also legally embedded its commitment to purpose beyond profit into its articles of association.

Open about today, ambitious about tomorrow

Seenons is an independent, award-winning European platform with a clear mission: a world without waste. By connecting every link in the waste chain — from businesses to transporters, processors, and reusers — Seenons enables organisations to manage and reduce their waste streams in a smarter, more circular way. Through advanced technology, knowledge and a network of over 200 waste partners across five countries, Seenons helps reduce CO₂ emissions, maximise reuse, and transform waste into value. The B Corp certification reinforces Seenons’ commitment to transparency, measurable impact, and continuous improvement, core values that guide everything the company does.

The B Corp certification confirms that we walk the talk: building a fairer, more sustainable waste chain. It helps us evaluate our mission against clear standards and make better, sharper choices. This milestone embeds our mission into our day-to-day operations and connects us to a global movement working towards a circular future. I’m truly happy that we achieved this together as a team.
Merel Schaap, Sustainability Specialist at Seenons

What sets B Corp apart from other certifications is its holistic approach. It looks not only at environmental impact, but also at business operations, the business model, and a company’s positive influence across the entire chain. The certification affirms Seenons’ leadership in the transition to a circular economy and its ability to turn sustainable ambitions into real-world action.

Becoming a B Corp validates our drive to create real impact. Every day, we work to see waste not as a problem, but as an opportunity. This certification proves that we’re making the right decisions—not just for our clients, but for the planet. We’re especially proud to have scored highest in the area of resource conservation.
Joost Kamermans, founder and CEO of Seenons

B Corps must be reassessed every three years to retain their certification. This requires continuous progress, something that is deeply embedded in Seenons’ DNA.
