Waste Group Denmark continues as Seenons Denmark
press release waste group denmark becomes seenons denmark

12 June 2025, Roskilde – As of today, Waste Group Denmark will officially continue under the name Seenons Denmark. This name change marks the completion of the integration with Seenons, the independent waste platform that acquired the Danish company in August 2024. The merger combines local market knowledge with international technological expertise. Through this synergy and their shared mission of a waste-free world, they are now even better positioned to support large enterprise clients such as Scandic Hotels and GLS even more effectively.

A natural next step for Waste Group Denmark

The transition to Seenons Denmark is both a logical and necessary step for Waste Group Denmark. Founded by Allan Jakobsen, the company has built a strong reputation over the past years as an advisor of waste management for medium and large businesses, as well as public institutions in Denmark. Waste Group Denmark provided these organisations with independent advice and hands-on support to optimise their waste streams – from cost reduction and logistics to sustainability. However, innovation was needed to enable the next phase of growth.

“We wanted to scale and digitalise our services,” says Allan Jakobsen, now Country Manager of Seenons Denmark. “To do that, we needed a stronger technological foundation. With Seenons, we’ve found a partner that combines technology with the same vision of transparency and circularity that we share.”

Full Service Waste Management

From today, Seenons Denmark is fully part of the Seenons Group; in name, visual identity, and way of working. Clients will continue to work with their trusted contacts and receive the same personal approach, while also benefiting from the power of the Seenons platform and its international network.

Seenons Denmark now offers organisations a complete solution for all their waste streams; Full Service Waste Management. From planning and registration to finding the right collection partners and generating reports – everything is managed through one digital system. This makes waste management not only simpler, but also smarter and more sustainable.

Through the Seenons platform, clients can:

  • Plan, track and optimise their waste streams digitally
  • Easily report on sustainability and legal compliance
  • Manage all waste-related costs and invoices in one place
  • Connect directly with specialist collectors and recyclers

For organisations with multiple sites or international operations, the platform also provides a centralised solution with tailored local execution. This delivers control, efficiency and greater circular impact. In Denmark and beyond.

One culture, shared values

According to Allan, the integration went smoothly thanks to a strong cultural fit:
“These shared values are reflected in how we work; short lines of communication, transparency and always looking for the best solution for the client. At the same time, there is room for local adaptation. This combination of shared values and flexibility makes us stronger together.”

Towards a transparent waste sector

The integration reflects a broader international ambition: to open up the traditionally closed-off waste market and foster transparency, collaboration and circularity. Through technology and open networks, Seenons aims to redefine the industry standard

“We believe in a future where waste is not the end of the line, but the beginning of something new,” says Joost Kamermans, co-founder and CEO of Seenons. “With this integration, we’re continuing to build an open and connected chain where companies, collectors and recyclers work together towards one goal: less waste, more reuse – locally and internationally.”
